SeveredA Poem by AshepeteBroken hearts can love again
I watched you fall in love with me,
You pulled me down so effortlessly. Yes, I fell with you, for you, But you rose up, and I was left in the blue. Lying on the floor, lost, confused, Without you, I felt bruised. Love, with its cruelest schemes, Squeezes hearts and shatters dreams. Between a rock and a hard place, We learn love's bitter embrace. For it's only in the hurt we see, The truth of love, its twisted decree. You fell in love, I fell in piece, And in that fall, I found release.
