This Lie That Can Kill

You do what is foretold
Or as you are bidden--
Since this truth has been told
You've felt choice is hidden.

You think you are bound
If you have no free will.
Is that what you’ve found,
This lie that can kill?

Why does it bother you
That the choices you make
Could be completely untrue
Or altogether fake?
