Ying and YangA Poem by Ashanee13The theory of Ying and Yang is not as simple as the symbol but has a whole Chinese philosophic history to it, but long story short, it attempts to illustrate the essentiality of balance in everything.
Ying and Yang
The coherent fraction of nature and the mind, exhibited in all existence. The process of harmonization, ensuring a constant, dynamic balance of all things. Depicting the chill from the heavens and the warmth from the earth. They're either on the opposite ends of a cycle, Yet, interdependent, disabling each to exist without the other. Nothing is absolute Ying; nor absolute Yang, but always Ying and Yang. Like no day without night, nor a night without a day. One can change into another, Happening only, when the time is right, because, spring only comes when winter is finished. Yet, When they are no longer in balance, they effect each other. When one is more, or the other is less. When it is all too much or not as much of, one can eventually weaken the other, consume it, devour it. -AK © 2014 Ashanee13 |
