Heart songA Poem by Heather AnneMy heart sings a tune Playing the fiddle in my head A song which tugs At all tear ducts near As the heart chords play
Can you hear the bass cleft sing? As the treble cleft jumps and runs. Each note a tempo to itself, As they join in union, To make a sad song.
The lyrics in my head stay hidden. While the song bubbles to the surface With each tear that falls The music warms a pain filled heart And keeps the cries well buried.
Hear the bow tremble and keys dance Filing the hollow void of longing As the song is sung And music played, deep down. In the recess of one’s self Murmuring I miss you so…… © 2012 Heather Anne |
