OvercomeA Poem by Ashley long
To you I am grey, only white when talking.
Flask backs I could not desire, as I talk to you with the silence. What may come true, what may occur, tonight could happen slow, or in a second; may pierce. May my thoughts be held in your heart, may a smile appear, with every second to you; i'm every tear. I know, I wish, I plan, to become everything you can't, just because i'm not aware, your laughter shows a token I will share. Ponder the moment, savor every breath, I can borrow your image, so you can see what's left. I will become a glisten in your thoughts, or maybe I've been here too long. Talking, or sharing, planning, or wishing. I will overcome. © 2017 Ashley long |
