Moments pastA Poem by Ashley longPoetry
When the diverse words hit me with a crash, I looked at you, I began to fade.
Only moments come from past to present, only the look I gave had already banished. Her bright red lips, her hazel eyes, with a stare only one would know, and will ever. Her finger nails ridged, her damaged smile, she asks "Why can't I just be"? Be anything really, she wanted to escape, sail across the ocean listening to the waves, the question why was very unknown, the reason was everything, or anything. Maybe their doesn't have to be a reason to every tale. That answer will be left for you to wonder. © 2017 Ashley long |
