Broken Toy

Broken Toy

A Poem by Ash Rx
"

A simple stream of consciousness porm I wrote while overcoming personal struggles Very blunt stream of consciousness Possibly only of significance to me But I cried as these thoughts returned

"
Why is everyone always hitting me?
Wy won't anyone lift a finger to help me?
The world can't be this awful of a place
I must deserve it.
I wish I wasn't such a piece of s**t.
So everyone wouldn't want to hit me everywhere I go.
If I just stop talking.
Then maybe they'll leave me alone.
But they still won't leave me alone.

{Nobody wants the broken boy.}

Author's Note

Ash Rx
Is it better with the final line in { } or without?
How about with or without punctuation?
The reason I chose the title even though it's a bit corny is because it was the name of one of those movies they make to show you in school that really affected me as a child. Very high chance I watch it now and it's awful. But the feeling for me is there.

Why they're hitting you? Simple, because they can.
Maybe you've the wrong idea about the world.... If you want the good stuff and good people around you, then you gotta make it happen.

Humans are generally idiots and they just like to have their own way everywhere with everyone...so, yes, the world is a screwed up place sometimes, so what? Get over it and do something for yourself. That's all.

This poem is from the perspective of myself as a child.... not me as an adult.

That doesn't change anything.
