UNRESTFUL MIND, REPRIEVE

UNRESTFUL MIND, REPRIEVE

A Poem by Asderathos
"

Sometimes we must put our faith not just in Nature's God, but God's Nature

"
Who can prevail?
On their mind to be still
At the tempest tossed storm;
Contest animate
To keep free will.
Without rest
We're slain,
Without rest
We're enslaved
With vigilance endless
Madness reigns
Shackles grow tight
& chain, more taught...
Who can be trusted?
When chest is caught
By Morpheus' call
Too Deep
To watch over
Shorn walls
Agape.
What in a heart asleep
And dark,
Does light not burn?
A spark resilient hidden.
Architect of love,
Father of hope,
Keeper of wisdom.
Trust & sleep
For tomorrow's contest.
