Anarchy And Tyranny

Anarchy And Tyranny

A Poem by Asderathos
"

can we break the cycle?...

"
ANARCHY AND TYRANNY

Broken glass and chiseled stone, freedom in a land alone
Ten Thousand strong, one mind in all
Just is the lie, just is the lie
To break chains and shackle minds
Too hearts
Two hearts,
Build those walls
Build those walls
Build em high,
Into unthinking skies

Chains are broken and shackles strewn
Only to build up walls in the minds of men
Screaming for revolution

Break it down, build it up
Cry for love, cry in your cups
Cups of wheat
Cups of pain
Sprinkled with a salty rain
Filled with blood, and brothers slain
For the rest of your haunted, hollow days
As revolution brang
As the revolution brang
A life of regret a life of pain
There has to be a better way

Asderathos
I tried to show both sides of the coin, one might have been slightly neglected tho

have a look at Alexander Fraser Tytler's expostulate on democracy discussing civilization cycles
