ESSENCE OF PERFECT

ESSENCE OF PERFECT

ESSENCE OF PERFECT

Plaid pleated

Pleading heart defined,

Tresses draped

Traced and teasing

A life's desire's...

Strength thru strife

A live's sense of life

Fleeting as the day

Equally presumed

To return, tomorrow

Nice words, but where is the substance. I understand the title reads "essence" but there wasn't even that here. Certainly no perfection. While your piece had the feeling of haiku to help it along, I was left feeling forgotten, like you ran on ahead and left us, the readers, to figure this one out on our own. I'm sorry but this wasn't a grand bit of poetry.
