Fear of NightA Poem by AsderathosNyctophobia a story in ryhme
FEAR OF NIGHT Creeping black whispers Inching out of corners Patches of forgotten night Remembered at the ebbing light Stave the chill from window sill Grasp at imitations pitiful Of sun As the fire’s fuel is lost And embers grow dim You suddenly remember A candles wick just then Lighting it And hoping still For a shorter night Than usual Though Deep down You’re filled with dread That this time ‘round It may never end 3-15-08 137 © 2009 AsderathosFeatured Review
