Dogs have it easy

Easy day

dreamy nights

Nothing to say

And sleep all day

 

Imagine dreaming

Doing whatever you please

Seeing all

And nothing’s a tease

 

But eventually wake

And still can’t speak

No concept of time

What is there even to dream about?

 

Humans have it easy

They get to sleep all night

No chance of a fright

And then they wake up

And live our dreams

 

Imagine having that power

To be able to speak

And live out their dreams

To change their lives

 

 

Dogs

Scared so easy

Yet nothing to fear

 

Humans

They trust too much

And love too little

 

Try being a dog

Being unable to tell

When leaving is permanent

And why they do it

 

Try being a human

They make mistakes

But forgiveness is key

there was never a lock

 

When you hurt

And you let something go

Is it feelings or tears

That bring you peace?

Dogs will never know

Humans will always regret

But only one can speak

And the other silently dreams

Nothing to do with the pain

But dreams are perfect

And so are humans
