You and IA Poem by adam26I'm going to revise the structure and end rhyme in various parts of this but this was the rough outline of my ideasWhat would you do If I told you That we were both the same Similar but different Contradictory maybe But not the same at all What would you do If I told you That green was actually blue Maybe to me But not to you Which is the real true? What would you say If I went away And wrote about my life The life that I hear With headphones in ear The life that people tell me With closed lips and clenched fists The life that I hear when I can’t What would you think If I told you I drink But I can’t ever open my mouth I’ve been silenced before And shunned like a w***e I don’t really care But it hurts when they stare You should know these things These things that I say Because maybe one day You’ll see We aren’t so different You and I © 2018 adam26 |
