People on Strings

People on Strings

A Poem by Emilee Undead
"

Deception and vampyres.

"

And all the people up on strings,
are sprinkling sweet beguilings.

Yet these fortunes do fortell,
of hungers deep and hard to quell.

She, the one whom all adore,
she lies down now and lives no more.

And all those who had lied before,
they find her corpse hard to ignore.

So clouds obstructing cool moon's light,
they rose her back up in the night.

The stars descended to adorn,
her midnight shape; undead, reborn.

No longer bearing florid skin,
a pallid beauty like her kin.

And like her brother's, she belies,
with deadly fire in her eyes.

With sinner's gaze of passion told,
her guise of temptation unfolds.

Upon your slipping, bleeding strife,
her lips draw close to taste your life.

Such a dark and expressive poem. Your choice of words, rhthym and rhyme is fantastic.

Nicely done!!!!
