RegretA Poem by AsanteA poem talking about regret at the end of your life
Regrets
We alone measure time that's why ours runs out Have you lived a good life, one without doubt? On your deathbed What will be most important to you? Your house, car,or your new pair of shoes? What will you regret? The mistakes you've made or the chances you've missed? the times you could've say hello or when you could've answered a question with a kiss? Will you pull up your finicial statement and smile? Will you hug the picture of your car? Or Will you draw your children around you in a crowd? Will you be satisfied with the life you've lived? Will you hold onto the grudge from years past? Or will you sit on the edge of your bed and cringe? Imagine being an 86 year old Thinking of these things Think of regret and the pain it brings Remember this the next time you shrink from opportunity It could affect you at the end of your continuity © 2015 Asante |
