Yearning for Home

Yearning for Home

A Poem by AsamiFirestone
"

The past is what forms you, it is the nows job to fix what needs to be fixed, and to prepare you for the future.

"
The only word that comes to mind
When you want to return back in time
Wanting what you have not
And I have desperately fought

Every move, a futile blow
No dent is made, no debt repaid
Here every moment moves slow
I will return to the shattered remains

I do all of this on a shred of hope
That what remains is still the same
The Now will wait for the process to cope
Because to it, this is just a trivial game
