Chapter 1: Years Later with A Job

Chapter 1: Years Later with A Job

A Chapter by AsamiFirestone
"

It is hundreds of years later since Wales. Asami Firestone died in 1912, not of old age because warlocks are immortal. We know follow the story of Corra Adams, also a warlock.

"
Corra Adams is a warlock allied with the Virtus Statera of the Anguniem or the Vera. She has special abilities very similar to the late warlock Asami Firestone, who was an enemy to the Vera. Everyone was pleased for her demise. Corra Adams couldn't have been more different. She used her abilities to teach the Anguniem how to manipulate an element. Of course, none of them could be as powerful of Corra. The Anguniem had powers exclusive to them to, they all have the 'Charm Ability' which means they can persuade humans to do pretty much anything, they have incredible strength, speed, and live an extremely long time. Although they are not immortal the average life span for them is about 500 years. They hunt maledictus, which are vampires, werewolves, etc. Basiclly anything that is not a demon, Anguniem or human.

Today was one of the days where Corra taught elemental abilities. She was walking down the hallway and heard one of the younger Anguniem named Dylan came running along. "Hey, Cooooorrrraaaa!" he yelled down the hall. Dylan was about six foot and had a mop of light brown hair, hazel eyes, and fair skin. All the girls were in love with him, but he had only an eye for a girl who could never be his. "COOOORRRAAA!" She groaned, Dylan was sweet, but he was also erratic.
"Yes, Dylan." She replied, trying not to sound annoyed.
" How are you? I haven't seen you for awhile." Oh Dylan, he could at least try to hide his crush on her. He was seventeen, she was hundreds of years old. She pulled her hand up to her chin and made her engagement ring clearly shown.
"Oh, I didn't know you were getting married." He said with an air of defeat.
"Yeah, Angelo proposed, he is a vampire, very sweet and italian." She said cheerily. He looked down at his shoes and made a feeble attempt to change the topic to what they were doing today in elemental training.
"Well, we are going to practice aiming, I noticed the burn marks from Bella's fire bending last time." she replied trying hard to lighten the mood. "Wow, they are already there." she said rounding the last corner to the training room.
"How do you know that?" Dylan asked mystified.
"Earth vibration, my dear Watson." She swung the door to the gym open. As she had said, everyone was here. "Line up everyone, aim today. But before we begin we have a new Anguniem, who had begun physical training last week, and now is beginning elemental training. So we are all introducing our selves and saying our element, age and I don't whatever else you want to say. Ok, Dylan why don't you begin?"
"Hello, I am Dylan. My element is Earth, I am seventeen, and uh... my weapon of choice is the short sword."
"O.K. Anguniem to the heart. Now William, then move down the line."
" I'm Will, not William. My element is also Earth, I'm seventeen, and my weapon of choice is a long sword. And by the way whoever took my lucky long sword, give it back before I poke your eyeballs out with a fork and eat them with my morning soup." Dylan chided him on his temper and ruffled his hair. Will had dark brown, almost black hair with piercing blue eyes and the temper of a rabid dog. He was about 2 inches shorter than Dylan, but you could hardly notice. He was Dylan's best friend. Dylan always brought out the best in him.
"I am Bella, my element is fire, I am sixteen, and my weapon of choice re throwing daggers." Bella was the crush of most of the boys she ever meets, she had long golden brown hair, with blue eyes. She looked like a girl who would;t risk breaking a nail, but was actually better at fighting than most of the men. And like her brother, Will, had the a horrible temper.
"My name is Enoch, I am sixteen, my element is water, and my weapon of choice is a bow." Enoch was a strange child, he had dark brown hair, brown eyes and no skin blemishes. He had a sister name Eve, but she was killed by a vampire. Ever since, he had been waiting for a chase to kill a vampire. His father had killed that one that killed Eve, and Enoch, never listening to his father's words, still seeked vengeance. Now, it was the new girl's turn.
" My name is Katerina, you can call me Kat, my element is air, I am sixteen, and my weapon of choice is the whip." she finished and everyone was looking at her. She had light brown hair, much like Dylan's, fair skin and light brown eyes. Like the rest of them she was wearing shorts and a t-shirt.
"Welcome Kat, I guess we should begin, um.. Dylan, would you help Kat till I am ready to assist myself."
"But Corra, you forgot to introduce yourself."
"Oh, alright, I am Corra Adams, I can control all the elements, I am a warlock, I am too old, and my weapon of choice is the ice blade." Corra finished, and then Kat asked:
" Your a warlock, do you have a mark?" It was innocent question, but all the others gasped, as if she asked to kill her.
" Um... Yes I do. It is wings." she answered. Kat apologized and the entire class assured it was alright, that she had just startled them. They began doing aiming drills. Corra showed Kat the basics for air. "Air is a free element, so you shouldn't use controlling methods. You need to think of it as your breath, as a part of you. Here watch Enoch, the water is a part of him, you understand?' Kat nodded. "O.K. try to form a small tornado in your hand. Raise your hand, open it palm up and visualize, what does it look, how fast is it moving, now focus...." Kat closed her eyes and focussed, and then a sudden burst of wind came up and then, in the center of her palm, there was a small tornado. "Excellent! Now I am going to watch the others. For now, just experiment with the air. O.K.?" Kat replied yes, and Corra walked over to the others, moving their arms, to help them, giving them tips.
"It's so strange, they treat her as a friends, but she's a maledictus, she is cursed...." Kat thought to herself. Sometimes, Anguniem from other places, think that maledictus weren't equals, but below them. Which is usually what causes disagreements between the Anguniem and maledictus. You can't blame people for how their past and how they were raised.
