Returning to Me

Returning to Me

A Poem by Ryan Z. Dawson
"

A love poem

"
And, dipping her toes in the water, she turned
So the gentle breeze tugged at her hair
What she said then is lost in my memories' maze
I was struck and could only but stare

She resembled so strongly the ghost in my dream
At that moment I started to stammer
Then she leaned in to pluck a sweet kiss from my lips
And I gave up my soul to her glamor

Though I wander alone when the water is high
In the pull of the bottomless sea
I will hear her again on the redolent wind
She is always returning to me
