God's Stage

God's epic stage

the dust ridden ground

the moon's the spotlight

the plays all around

they go through their scenes

the actors unknown

and when the show's over

where do the actors go

 

go on to new plays

where the act different roles

main parts change

the plot thickens more

volumes change in transition

roles get louder

roles get softer

protagonist, antagonist

no one really knows

 

the smaller plays meld

the bigger play's revealed

what's the role

what's the setting

does God even know

but all play to script

no deviation, no ad lib

the audience is amused

no questions to the feelings on the stage

 

of course the deaths are fake

and the curtains close slowly

sweeping the lies together

hiding the truth shown on the stage
