The Masqurade Ball

The Masqurade Ball

A Poem by Fire Princess

The Masqurade Ball,

Where everyone hides.

The only place to feel alone and surrounded,

at the same time.

The Masqurade Ball,

Where the dancers prance wild.

And drink to their hearts content,

Caring not for their company.

The Masqurade Ball,

Where men and women disappear.

Into rooms and crevices with one another,

Sharing time with those whom they have yet to be accuainted.

The Masqurade Ball,

The party that is meant to make all jealous.

The marvillous sights that blind many,

And leave many with resent of the things they can't have.

The Masqurade Ball,

That has to end some time.

The guest have to leave,

And the chadilier loses its time to shine.

The Masqurade Ball,

With its guest of fancy masks.

Makes the world a strange place,

by blinding a feature like the face.

The Masqurade Ball,

With its people filing out.

Loses its purpose after awhile,

Because the people,

As their masks,

Are just as fake.
