This poem is all about my memorable vacation in Sikkim.

VACATIONS IN SIKKIM

 

You would not believe

but it’s true;

I was in the paradise of Earth.

The Sikkim welcomed me with some sweet toffee

I enjoyed the scene with hot coffee.

What to say about the capital Gangtok, with

it’s incredible faith at Hanuman and Ganesh tok

Flower garden with collection of wonderful flowers

And the M.G. Market with the longest Cafe towers.

Naga falls and Seven sister falls full of scenic beauty.

Romteng monastery full of peace

along with Sales emporium and Cultural museum stating its rich heredity.

All were perfect at their places

like tied in colourful laces.

Above all my Lachung trip

with curve roads and Tista flowing

cool climate; dripping rain

hilly scene covered with snow and clouds

pleasant and mind blowing.

Everywhere snow and snow

that was really wow and wow.

Far away there was no sign of Sun

deep in the clouds Sun was hiding him

perhaps he was too chilled out with the climate

and went for a long nap.

The Zero point trips was fun

with my snow spraying gun.

Snowfall! What a view

it’s really a chance only for few.

Trees looked awesome

covered with snow and ice

I enjoyed the beauty with

a bowl of hot spicy rice.

Children were playing with snow balls

and I was clicking photos with some sweet rolls.

The faces of people were like red tomatoes

and a little cute girl offered me some crisp fried potatoes.

These were some of my Sikkim’s happy and cool days free from my daily hectic plays.

you aremost welcome i am still in themidst of re reading and judging this weekend 86 entries so many to choose from it is very impossible to say the least. I liked your poem so much but even if one never gets a prize in this comp it doesnt mean that I didnt love it. I loved all 86 it is going to be very hard to choose 10. believe me
