At your grave

At your grave

A Poem by ~Sarah~ Idríel The Fair
"

...my tribute to Heathcliff and Cathy...

"

I'm lonely, living in the past days,

I stayed here, you left me

to drown in tears

At your grave

all that's left of me,

is there with you,

in the cold embrace

of your grave

Heartbroken wind,

my heart cries in pain,

my soul screaming in agony

At your grave

I have never felt as lonely

myself than it is now,

Your last resting place

    will also be my grave

At your grave

   I dig my own grave

      to be with you

           Forever

At your grave

all that's left of me,

is there with you,

in the cold embrace

of your grave

Author's Note

~Sarah~ Idríel The Fair
This poem is inspired by Wuthering Heights (my all time favorite book ever) by Emily Brontë, it tells Heathcliff's grief after Cathy died. In the 2009 film version of Wuthering Heights Heathcliff dig Cathy's grave open so that he could be closer to her. It always give me shivers. Heathcliff's grief, agony, pain and sorrow. All of those emotions on his face. All rights belong to the author, Emily Brontë. This is only my tribute to Heathcliff and Cathy.

It's a beautiful poem, and has a lot of feeling put into it, I can tell how much love you have for the book by the language you use in the poem. It actually reminds me of a different story and resonates pretty closely to me too!
It is an amazing piece of work and you should be proud!
