Too Close To The Sun

Too Close To The Sun

A Poem by ~Sarah~ Idríel The Fair
"

Burned my wings

"

I feel you near me

    like as fire would

burning on my skin

I have never felt

    as loved myself

than it is now

To look at

    THE SUN

spread my wings

        and

die in your arms

     because your SUN

burned my wings

I'll gladly leave this

     dusty Earth after me

and will follow you

    wherever you'll go

Your words of commitment and love are especially endearing! May the sun shine also on you!!

Sometime love and a good escape can allow us to dream. Like in the story in the myth. Sometime the desire to fly too close to the sun and heat is too tempting. I like the complete poem. I like the ending to the excellent poem.
