I came too lateA Poem by ~Sarah~ Idríel The FairNimrodel's searching for Amroth
I came too late
Thou are gone and I am left behind thee. O have I not seen the Green Hill and Linden tree where at noon the Sun herself was smiling behind the leaves? O have I not remember well thou words by the silvering pool? And have I not answering to thee at the time when the Moon himself was laughing above the roof of trees; 'Take me with you to the far West where hills are more green and water run deeper than thou can ever guest!' O I came too late! The ship has gone and I will go to seek thou my love, but I'll not cross the Great Sea without thee! And will not water still remember the voice of Nimrodel? © 2020 ~Sarah~ Idríel The FairAuthor's Note
