The brightest of All

The brightest of All

A Poem by ~Sarah~ Idríel The Fair

I stand still listening the wind

and the echoes of those past things.

The Ghost of my past

follows me like a shadow,

all those people dear to me

they have gone a long ago.

The light of their

most brightest eyes, has dimmed out and

the memory of them

most dearest one, has died away.

Where I do find thee?

Thou shall be in the Heavens indeed.

All that is left of thee

is the mound of sorrows

and soon there comes my time to flee

the Ghost of my past!

Thou wait for me

in the Heavens,

where the most brightest

star dust appearing

to set on thy curly hair

as a crown to wear!

You HAVE the thoughts to weave into such a compelling spell... but it's like you aren't thinking in English and the translating keeps dropping words. And yes it is a "little" thing and a mind can fill in the blank spots as I listen to your song - but, the distraction of doing so breaks the rhythm and the tones.

This was very sad but very beautiful. I enjoyed how both of those came across in this. The last stanza was really gorgeous because it was where these came across most strongly. Great poem.
