If only

If only

A Poem by ~Sarah~ Idríel The Fair

If only…

What if

I am the one

who you can not

forget?

What if

I am the face

you’ll see in the mirror?

If all had gone as otherwise

where we would be?

Our eyes had met

  we  had gazed

each other

  in twilight

Snowflakes on

your eyelashes

Your warm hand

on my cheek

Our lips had met

  we wondered

how it all led to this point

  towards love

Snowflakes on

your cheeks

Your warm hand

on my chin

Our eyes had met

  we  had gazed

each other

  in twilight

and wondered

‘ What if.. ‘
