Just a few lines

Just a few lines

A Poem by ~Sarah~ Idríel The Fair

I am alone again, with the many painful thoughts of mine. I can not turn the clocks.

My memories have faded over time, how I can trust them?

Please tell me again of the time when we were happy. I can not remember.

I want to hear your voice, soft and sweet.

Please speak to me. Keep me alive.

Keep me here.

This is open to a myriad of interpretations. I see an older fellow who is a dowager and his memory is fading of his happy life with his wife when she was alive. He wishes to hear her voice soft and sweet to keep him alive and in their home.
