Autumn leaf shape

Autumn leaf shape

A Poem by ~Sarah~ Idríel The Fair

No one ever said to me

 'You're beautiful'

I never thought of myself

as beautiful or even attractive.

My hair like sand and my

 deep brown eyes, Can you

see behind the mask which I've

 hid my tears?

All the lonely nights without you,

I never saw what you saw in me,

soft and warm skin, autumn leaf

 shape in my eyes.

Then one day you told me,

 'You're beautiful, always have been'

You looked me in my eyes as you fear

 what you would see.

My heart burst into happiness,

I felt like I could dance through

the day and night!

Your hair like late autumn leaves

and your eyes like two stars

in the sky!

'Have not you ever seen the autumn

 leaf shape in your eyes?'

Real love see the true beauty of the tenderness hidden and the comfort of eyes with only concern for them. Real love is earned and protected. A beautiful poem. Words that Donne would have loved. Thank you for the amazing poetry.

You are welcome.
Time really comes that one pair of eyes will see one's beauty. One soul is destined to another soul.
I believe there is a perfect time for everything...

Nice piece.
