A Moment of Eternity

'I'm gonna live forever' she used to say. 

'I'll have white wings, most powerful than any other' she used to say.

'I dance the night away in the new morning and I'll lift my head to greet the sun'

'I'll greet the sun and the Mother Earth'

She's gonna live forever they used to say.

But who really wants to live forever?

She came like a beautiful thought,

she came like a fresh breath of summer

and fell into oblivion.

No one remembered her anymore.

A beautiful and sad poem. It is good to want to live forever. Never be forgotten. I create a memory book for my kids. A few photos and stories of family members gone. We need to keep the good people and memories alive. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Well this was a sad statement on how people fade from memory if no one bothers to think about them; sort of hit home even more since, as a writer, I'm essentially trying to have my words live forever in a similar manner.
I liked the repetition of "I'm gonna live forever" throughout the work, it really helped me see 'her' determination and desire to be remembered. Good job.
