Shows a world never existed
While you walk, thinking you live

A person within you
Tells all your wishes
That you never expects
That you never demands

A person within you
Tells all lies as it is true
That you behave accordingly
That you feel accordingly.

A person within you
Hacks your existence
Takes you to the top of a mountain
Pulls you down unexpectedly.

A person within you
Is neither God nor devil
It's a clever self
Living with you forever.

It is a very serious difficulty for a person not to trust the voice inside them or to be at odds with it. Your brain is trying to protect you and sometimes it can do this by pulling you back. Sometimes the best thing that can protect you can be the worst thing that will happen to you. So which one is the real you? Which voice is your reality? We don't know.

Our inner voice from little to our older self we hear and see and have loved it. We sometimes dont want to hear it and do things otherwise but its always there, our life force, the energy behind this body matter which will decay. That will always be there and transcend into other life too probably ! Can any other thing be as loyal to us than this clever living thing inside us. Our scriptures and fablesa have spoken at length about this aham/ego, about Aham Brahmasmi but we haven’t been able to quieten it! Simple, cute yet very deep my dear!

i remember when my therapist suddenly asked me: 'did you have an imaginary friend when you were a child?' my answer: yes... and i think he's still there. i talk to him endlessly, sometimes for hours and he provides me insights that i swear i did not think of. he is an amazing friend and mentor and i could not live without. not everyone's inner voice is like a guardian angel, but a more demonic one, as your verse explores. i guess i am lucky to have this wise and positive energy inside me.
