Thorns

Thorns

A Poem by Arundass TP
"

Ultimate destiny

"
Love for bougainvilla
To create shadow of colors
Planted all around, the world of love
Creating ultimate destiny of vibrant colours.

Seasons passed-by
Flowers bloomed
Creating rainbow all around
Eyes of envy walking all around.

But never ever thought of thorns
And the growing branches, interlinked
Blocking views leading to darkness
The fury of pain and horror.

Never opened the door to see sunshine
It was death trap of love
The thorns are enough painful
Tearing heart into pieces, the ultimate destiny.

Love and thorns do not go well together. I found this to be a poem of contrast. Colour/ darkness. That’s how love can go sometimes.

Thank you friend 😊
Wonderful work in metaphor. I suppose the most beautiful does require some protection so that they hungry eyes do not tear it to bits. Go gentle around those thorns if the prize is dear enought:)

If only the colors of love would not lead to the prickly thorns of heartbreak...but always that risk.
