Forest

Forest

A Poem by Arundass TP
"

Now fear and terror

"
Wolfs around the trail
Foxes around the trail
Dancing and howling
Singing melodies of night.

Hearing those melodies
Moon looking down the wood's
Searching the singer's
Trails are milky white.

Seeing the brightness
On the face of moon
Owl shows the singer's
Screeching following the footsteps.

Rodent's in the darkness
With glittering fearful eyes
Hide and seek
For tasty gems.

Big foots on the move
Breaking branches
Chewing leaves and grasses
Creating shadows touching horizon.

Carnivorous sharpened their teeth
For bloody feast with sharp canine
Roared around again and again
To show their power infinite.

Crawling Snakes crawls all around
Monkeys on branches never slept
Birds of prey on high alert
Beautiful birds closed their eyes.

Woods are dark, darkened with mysteries
Hundred's of stars glitters there
It's time to live or die
The strongest, cleverer, fastest survive.

A man sitting in between trail
Opens fire into the wood's
Where peaceful journey of life survives
Creating bloodshed to turn Moon red.

Those trails are filled with bodies
Freezed for ever, turning blue
Wood's are calm and silent
Where stars never glitter in darkness.

Year's passed the tune changes
Wood's are memory of the past era
Where faces of terror and fear rules
In concrete jungles build on earth.

Wow! You captured the concrete jungles built by man superbly in this exquisitely penned poem, dear T. P... You paint a picture of the forest before these human-made jungles appeared and I could sense Nature at peace as life is meant to be in the forest. Then, humans created so much bloodshed over ownership of the land, stealing it from its rightful owners that the moon turned red. The moon no longer cast its light there and the stars never shone in the ensuing darkness. In the man made jungles, fear and terror rule. Peace no longer exists and heaven has become hell. A superb metaphoric write, excellent depiction and wondrous expression of feelings throughout the poem. A privilege to read your soul-touching poetry, dear T. P... Thank you for sharing, dear friend...
