Army is on move

Army is on move

A Poem by Arundass TP
"

To scavange

"
Army of ants moves
Butterfly scent rottened floated
Common Mormon a big tragedy
Death is a boon sometimes to someone.

Energetic the army on foot
Faster and faster they're all
Gaint crossover all over.
Hills and valleys opens those narrow path.

Into the jungle; into the grassland
Jolly jolly every step
Kites are watching paranoid
Loves the scent, far away

Memories are transferred
Not a single life is spared
On the way festives and drums
Painted lady fluttered all around.

Queen is inside the colony
Responsibilities everywhere
Sound of steps echoed
Tiredness is a dream.

Up the sky Sun is furious
Very much the earth is melting
Wonderful colorful body, laid dead
Xenophobic they behave

Youngsters are powerful, carrying the body
Zillion footsteps back to colony.

Ants working together are undefeatable! They work so very hard at their chores, they help each other and each ant can carry ten to fifteen times his/her weight. They are absolutely methodical. I absolutely love what Jacob has said in his comment about we being like the ants, but unlike the ants we are blind without a method. A great write on the ant colony, you display their power, their care for the dead, their desire to work hard without question, etc. Lovely pictures painted of the ants at work in your poem. I enjoyed reading very much and thank you for sharing, T. P...

I am not a big fan of ants, in fact they have bugged me my entire life .. an aunt once sat me on top of a nest by accident when trying to move me out of a vicious dogs way when I was very young and I've had a near ant phobia ever since .. I would never harm one and have a good deal of respect for them as a species .. after all, they are very clever ant they .. Nicely poemed my friend .. Neville

A most interesting write with many wonderful images. This could apply to your opening statement "common mormon" not only ants but the relocation of the Mormon church from Illinois to what they termed Deseret across the plains in the 1840's. The ants I have seen march for hundreds of yards through grass, dirt, forest. They have a loyalty to the colony just as the Mormons did to their group.Wonderful write

they do work together, don't they?
But then in certain instances...we are ants following blindly....carrying the body of
peace and love to its resting place.
