Journey to the past

Journey to the past

A Poem by Arundass TP
"

It's a journey

"
Mammoth's around open land's
Feast to men of savage
With empty stomach
Through the grasslands touching horizon .

Bows and arrows
Tusks and Rocks
Stones and log woods
Chased the gigantic creature.

Sun looks red
Moon looks red
Eyes are red
Blood is tasty .

Year's of massacre
Vanished into history
Blood spilled as rivers
History nerver returns

An old man
Inside the cave
Scratched with sharp stone
On the rocky wall

Glory of the past
Exists inside the cave
For upcoming foots, telling
Mammoth's walked here.

MAMMOTH!
IT'S AN ART, BUT HISTORY!
THE BRAVE HUMAN's!
POOR CREATURE!!!

Journey into the past, really it is. Enjoyed a trip back in to the past, metaphorically - it reads to me like Human's can meet the same fate too if we don't learn our ways. Mammoth, the great past creature which walked around high with dominance couldn't survive the test of times. A stark reminder, to humble ourselves and be in line with the nature. Thanks for sharing the wonderful write and thoughts.

I agree with Abhilash! We enjoy the trip back in time. We need to also learn lessons from their mistakes. In my opinion, we should only have driving allowed certain days. On days we drive, there should be no manufacturing plants spewing pollution into the air. During the Pandemic, the environment thrived! Some endangered species even thrived! Humans need to stop expecting every whim to be catered to!

Thànk you friend 😊
Your excellently penned poem took this reader on a very enjoyable trip into the past, to learn from yesterday. Mammoths sadly disappeared with the passing of time. But mankind has learned nothing from those days so long ago. Only our rivers run free, people are in chains everywhere of one kind or another, blood continues to be spilt through the many wars throughout the world. Where will it all end and when? Only God knows the answer to those questions. A very wonderfully penned poem, insightful and topical. Thank you for sharing, dear T. P...

An interesting comment on past history....which i must say should not be repeated; back then it was more barbaric and hunters needed food...today we protect certain creatures of nature, or we may feel the consequences.... very descriptive, especially of the mammoth...eventually the mammoth died out....we must be kind to our creatures of nature....and maybe they will survive.

No, Thank YOU :)
A truly great write much more that the simple picture it presents. Metaphorically it speaks of emotions that the first man wrote as poetry on a rock wall preserving for future generations a bit of the past. Lovely write.

I like for scientists to resurrect the Mamoth; don't you hate it when an animal becomes extinct?
I hope your poetry does not get that same fate.
