Fate

Fate

A Poem by Arundass TP
"

Always repeats

"
Atlast, atlast
i found a hopper jumping around
turning around, around and around, spinning,
leaping fast and faster
happily, satisfactorily
from one plant to another.

Atlast, Atlast
I found a frog observing
sharply, curiously, concentrating
sitting calm, meditative
beneath a plant calmly..

Atlast, Atlast
I found frog catching the hopper
swallowing, happily, satisfactorily
sitting calm, closing its eyes
In my garden calm and beautiful.

There is so much to see if you take time out in the natural world. Nature isn’t always kind though. Your poem made me think of food chains. I love spending time in my garden. Your poem creates pictures in my mind. Nicely penned Arundass. Have a happy Sunday.

The second stanza is my favourite one. The frog is superbly described having a Zen moment. It is wonderful to be able to keep calm in the chaos within the human world. He had the right idea! Like this poem very much, A. P. Lovely work! Thank you for sharing...

I've really enjoyed the fate of nature in this piece. The use of the words 'happily' & 'satisfactorily' in both the life of the hopper and the frog.
Nice work.

Survival of the species….. the smaller the beast the best chance his fate will catch up to him…. Very clever piece, I enjoyed it…

Interesting look at nature here. Humans try to idealize it, but as this offering illustrates, a battle for survival is going on beneath its pleasant exterior. Well done.
