Apollo the god of truth , healing and so much more.. i feel you are looking to him for protection my friend.
I too look for protection from my fears and terrors , but i look to the universe ... we all have our special way of protecting our inner self .
I think the wolves are a metaphor for your sinking souls; you melting heart that cannot find its way out; the scream of pain, like their howls alone in the woods....blood in the stream...who will save you...maybe the God of war or you may have to save yourself..... by reaching toward the moon's light to find yourself once more....then all will be silent within you and all around you..... I like this very much; just my interpretation
Warmly, B.
interesting way of expressing the battles we fight to save our soul. every now and then i hear the wolves howling at night and it goes right through me like nothing else. well written and well said in truth ... :)
Quite the scene you paint here. Eerie!
Apollo is a god of many things...archery, music and dance, truth and prophecy, healing and diseases, the Sun and light, poetry and other things that have slipped my mind. How appropriate to have him fight your inner battles. Interesting poetry. Lydia

You seem to be on a canine theme with dogs and now wolves. Is there some hidden meaning here? Perhaps.

Only the almighty can save, his presence, his thoughts, his teachings relaxes anxious energy into neutral. Thank you friend 😊
Arundass,
Hmmm, I have two distinct reactions to this poem. 1. It appears to be a part of a larger story that I need in order to give it context. 2. In light of the world seeming to slip into global chaos, the fear of wolves, ghosts, and dark forests resonates. Western Civilization has had it too east and the last seventy-five years has produced weakness, so now the East is on the rise, and they do not like us.

I know, right? That's what we all want, but it is not at all what we get.
It paints quite an interesting scenic view, author Arundass TP, I can appreciate the efforts you've made to craft such a scene. Thank you for sharing your work.
