The Red Rose

Reality is truth.

Mystic fragrance of love.
Opened petals, so beautiful.
Inside the pool of loneliness.
Red rose brightens their path.
To fall in love with fantasy.

Boring living in fantasies.
The red rose started drying.
Throwing lovers into reality.
Where thorns are visible on the stem.

I love this. If love is a rose, it surely has thorns. You don't get one without the other. And you can't live in fantasy land. Reality is going to come crashing in eventually. This poem is spot on. A very concise observance of love's downside.
