Flammen & Citronen

Flammen & Citronen

A Poem by Su' Nacnetaf

Yesterday I saw them marching outside
to see them infesting our streets makes me nauseous.
Did you see them too? Did you try to hide?
They appeared out of nowhere, and we should be cautious.
I cannot let them be, there are more of them every day
even among us, traitors keep showing up
and there's no one there to keep them at bay
except for us, we kill them, and celebrate with the grace cup.

We have to kill them, that's the only thing we can do
no one will see us, for people only see the dead fall
then we gather at the nazi bar, hiding at plain sight, eating stew,
plotting against them, until we finish them all.

A little something I wrote after watching Flammen & Citronen, a danish film based on the few who took a stand against nazi Germany when they occupied Denmark. Please ignore bad grammar, if any.
