Le Sablier

Le Sablier

A Poem by Su' Nacnetaf

Translation

Time falls as a stone sinks itself in the sea
my life escapes every time I have spoken
it seems as if I were the memory of a fake mother
a bird with broken wings which has never flown
I fight for my life, I hold on to the slippery ground
but it's just a failed attempt which ends in disgrace
each part of my being is crushed in one moment
I see myself fall slowly, and I wish I'd achieved happiness.

I'm lost within a sea of thoughts
drunk with anger of what I've been
I don't care anymore of what you think
let die this beast upon the sand.

its sad..the kind of sadness that gets to you..and stays with you for a while..makes you think of the reality..and of the hopeless efforts we make for finding happiness..life's pathos beautifully captured through this one..rock on!!
