Checkmate

Checkmate

A Poem by Su' Nacnetaf

Once again we sit together, my friend
always destined to test our intellectual might
battling until the match comes to an end
moving forth each and every single knight
I'm sorry I need to sacrifice some pieces
but for every piece you take, I'll take another two
until the amount of your servants decreases
and you have finally fallen through.

You're one of the most respected
and this game's been rather great
but as suspected
I'm sorry, my friend. Checkmate!
