The Poem of Childhood

The Poem of Childhood

A Chapter by Su' Nacnetaf

Freely I run accross the field
I feel the grass up to my knees
I'm not afraid, I have a shield
and I have a castle, up on the trees
from above I'll watch down under
my kingdom and the far away ocean
a wooden sword which controls a thunder
will lead me to adventure and emotion.

Childhood dreams live forever
I cry the happiness within
this memories I won't forget ever
the child which I have been
I am my son, my daughter
I am my past and my dreams
like a fish swims in water
I swim in childhood streams.

Beautifully flowing, conjures up images in everyone s past and manages this in just a few lines. Overall...a good poem.

Oh, so magnificent...
You capture all the beauty and wonder with so few words.
The magic that is childhood and it's swift and sudden end in will always haunt me.
But pieces like this breathe life into my memories, and before I know it, I am six again. *smile*

"Childhood dreams live forever..."

Lovely write.
