Night Stalker

Night Stalker

A Poem by Su' Nacnetaf

I need fire to lit my cigarette
I made my way comfortable to the window
just a glance, you haven't arrived yet
it doesn't matter, when you do I'll know
10 o'clock, it's almost time
I waited patiently all night
the perfect moment, the sublime
I wait until the time is right.

You're here at last, my dear
what is that you hide in the trunk?
is that a man? I can't see clear
is he alive? is he just drunk?

Its kind of weird. But weird is good. Interested in reading more of it.

Thanks for sharing.

There's such mystery in this brief post. The first stanza is warm and loving and suggests something good and delicate. Then, comes the second verse and every gentle word previously said goes flying!

I truly would like to read longer poems from you.. although maybe your magic is in brevity, perhaps you want to lure readers to want more!

Great post. Thank you.

I really like the idea behind this poem. The imagery is very well done and vivd. I know in the note the reader is instructed to ignore bad grammar, however I feel that the errors in this piece really subtracted from the piece. I would recommend editing them to make this already astounding piece even better.

Short, but I quite like it.
I love your style, I rarely find poets like you.
I like the way you use words, your writing seems to flow in a very unique way.
Keep it up.

Interesting that the stalker sees a body in the trunk of the person he's stalking haha, great poem.
