The Cello

The Cello

A Poem by Su' Nacnetaf

Swiftly my fingers cross above you
they make their way from your neck
which melody shall I imbue?
a heartless sound in air is just a speck
your body sings to the bow I master
the very artifact to create beauty
my name is art, I shall play faster
pleasing the ears is our duty.

A long night passed
our souls sweaty they rest
we save the best for last
now, let's leave them impressed!

Popular music, jazz, world music and neoclassical – these are just some of the cello’s qualities! Loved the poetic, near romanticised imagery of your lovely piece – really shows a love for the instrument!

~Classical music is a beautiful art form that came before any other present genre if I'm not mistaken. You detail the cello in a way that compliments the use of personification well. Who would not be impressed with the skill that it takes to play such an instrument. A well crafted poem.~

THE PERSPECTIVE IS PURE GOLD! You make the cello not your tool but your partner, truly brilliant. Keep it up!!

Very well written. You can feel that energy in your words, you can almost hear the sound of a cello playing. Word choice is good and the rhyme is impressive. Keep it up.
