We all have words that are left unspoken. Well, what if someone has words that are left unspoken, and they die? What if they were killed because the words weren't meant to be spoken?
-----------------------------------------------------------------
        Chapter One
"I can't live like this anymore! It's ruining my life!" I yelled at the top of my lungs to the person I used to trust. The person I could go to when I needed help.
"You have to. There are people that need help," he replied with that dull, monotone voice that I knew so well.
"Jyska! Those are not people! They are dead. D-e-a-d, dead!"
"You're the only one left that can help them. Your power is a gift from God."
"Don't say that! I cannot be the last one left. And this is no gift. My power is the farthest thing from a gift! It made my life hell!" I screamed practically in his face.
"You are the last one left Kura. There is no others that have your power. They all died."
"Oh, so are they going to come to me like every other spirit in the world?!"
"I don't believe so. Kura, you are the passage to the other world. You are the last piece of the puzzle," Jyska said in a calm voice.
        "What puzzle?" I inquired.
"The puzzle of life and death," he said quietly, "You must be off to school now. I will not keep you from having a normal school life."
"I will never, ever, be normal," I muttered under my breath as I walked away and down the hidden pathway to my school. I emerged from the opening and was thankful to see that no one had seen me. The Rithen must never be found. I quickly walked away from the outside eating area and into the school. Ah, summer. You got to love it. No one is ever in the halls, making it much easier for me to get to my home away from home. A secret cellar in the school. The principal of the school is part of the Rithen and he knows about me and my power. When I asked about the cellar, he said he was saving it for me because he knew that I would want it. I understood this because he can see into the future. Everyone who is part of the Rithen has a power. Although, mine seems to be the worse. As I was walking down the stairs into the cellar, I heard someone already in it. Most people would be scared. But I wasn't. If you had seen some of the spirits I have seen and known how they appeared, you wouldn't be scared either.

Chapter Two
"Who's there?" I questioned into the blackness. I heard somebody moving, it didn't sound like a spirit. A billion things ran through my head. Now I was getting scared; scared to find a real, normal human down there. I have things down there that normal people would not understand. I quietly tip-toed down the stairs and I sharply drew in a breathe when I saw a normal person down there. I stood up and squinted to see who it was.
"Who's down here? What are you doing here?" I questioned authoritvely. Who ever was down there turned around and said,
"It's me, Paul. I, uh, kind of walked into that hidden door up there and fell down the stairs. Why are you down here?" He didn't ask who I was, good.
"This is my home away from home. You should not be down here! This is off-limits to normal humans." I stuttered trying to sound brave.
"Normal humans? What are you talking about? Who are you?" he said sounding very confused.
"Oh, you caught that Um, I can't say. It's part of the code. You would have to speak with the master." I blurted out.
"Master of what? And you still haven't told me who you are," he pointed out. I strided towards him and whispered into his ear,
"Do you really want to know who I am?"
"Yes. I'm really sure I want to know," he replied with a mysterious voice. I leaned back and said,
"It's me, Kura. I must take you to see the master. This can't happen." I grabbed his hand and lead him up the stairs. At the top, I turned and said,
"You have seen what could not have been seen by your eyes. You must not tell people. If you let out one little peep about it, drastic measures will be taken. You might even be sentenced to death. I need you to promise me that you will never, ever, tell anyone of what your about to learn and what you have just seen." He just stood there staring at me then started chuckling.
"Death? You have got to be kidding me," He saw that I was being dead serious and stopped abruptly.
"Holy crap! What?! I definitely promise you that I will not say anything," he exclaimed.
"Shut up Paul! We can't be heard. So shut up," I told him. We quietly slipped out from behind the door. I looked over at the clock and saw that the others were in there classes. This was good. It would be easier to get to Jyska this way. We quickly ran out the doors. I led him to the secret entrance and hesitated briefly before I told him to follow me.
"Wow, this is amazing. This is so cool!" he stated.
"Yes, I guess it is.." I agreed. I never really saw how beautiful it was. I was too busy worrying about other things to notice. I looked over and saw that Paul was staring at me. I looked into his ocean blue eyes. I quickly realized that I was staring too and quickly started walking again. I hid my face so he wouldn't see my little crooked smile and my rosy red cheeks getting even redder. We stopped abruptly in front of the gate that I knew so well. I slowly opened it and said,
        "We're here"
Chapter Three
We walked through the gates and his mouth dropped open.
"Holy crap! This is even more beautiful than the path!" I chuckled and said,
" Yeah, but shh, we must be quiet. And do not speak unless spoken to. Got it?"
"Got it." he replied. We walked quietly up to the gazebo and Jyska slowly opened his eyes and his brows furrowed.
"Kura, why are you here, and why have you brought a normal human?" he said with anger.
"Jyska, he found my secret cellar. He has promised not to tell anyone about the Rithen."
"Kura, I'm sure he won't tell anyone but you must tell him everything. I cannot. He's your problem now," he replied. What! No way! Well, Paul is cute No, I cannot think like that I looked over at Jyska and he was hiding a laugh. Oh, crap, I forgot he could read minds.
"Jyska, stop reading my mind. It's rude," I said in a very serious tone. Paul looked scared. Maybe he was thinking something bad I looked over at Jyska and one eyebrow was raised. He looked really funny. I burst out laughing so loudly. Paul and Jyska started staring at me.
        "Oops, sorry," I said chuckling.
"Kura, this is no time for games. Now take Paul and tell him what's going on," Jyska said in an annoying voice. I grabbed Paul's arm and led him down the path. We stopped halfway and sat down under a tree.
"Okay, I'm going to tell you what you want to know and your going to listen okay?" I said.
        "Um, okay." he replied.
"Okay well, the Rithen is a secret organization that helps people with powers. Like, reading minds, seeing spirits and stuff like that. I can see spirits. I probably have the worst power because I can't choose when they pop up or anything and I have to be brave. Having my power takes me into some pretty intense situations. It can be extremely scary at times, but it's all in the package deal. The Rithen also protects us from the government. That is why you must keep everything I just told you a secret because they will capture us, and use us. Not my childhood dream. Okay I think that's about it."
"Um, okay" he said as if taking everything in. I was sitting there with him, not saying anything, for a while. I looked up into the sky and felt a strange feeling. I recognized this feeling immediately and looked behind me. There I saw him, the spirit that would change my life forever.

Chapter 4
"Hello," I said quietly. Paul turned around and furrowed his brows.
"What the heck are you looking and talking at?" he questioned.
"Um, spirit dude, you can show yourself" I mentioned. The spirit appeared and Paul's eyes got big and he gasped.
        "A g-g-ghost"
"Um, yeah Better get used to it."
"My name is Alan. I heard that you were the one to come talk to if a spirit like me needed help" the spirit said in a deep, handsome voice.
"Yeah, that's me. So what's your problem buddy?" I replied.
"I have been murdered. I need to know who murdered me" he said sharply
"Okay, do you know why you were murdered? That would be a big help." I said
"I know exactly why I was murdered" he grunted with anger. He disappeared and left me breathless. I grabbed Paul's arm and pulled him down the path at a fast paced walk. At the end of it he pulled his arm back and exclaimed, "I just saw a freaking spirit! Holy guacamole! That is creepy man!"
I slapped him on the arm and told him to shut up. He looked hurt.
"I'm sorry, I, I just never had a spirit like that before."
"It's ok. I got a little over excited" he replied
We walked through the gates and decided to meet at Gills Park at 9:00pm tomorrow night. As I was walking to my next class, I felt someone watching me. I shrugged off the feeling and walked into class. I walked up to the teacher and said,
"The principal wanted to see me. I am sorry."
She told me to sit down and I did as told. The next few classes till after school were torture. As I was walking home I felt that same feeling of being watched and looked around. I didn't see anyone, not even a spirit. I picked up my pace and still felt like I was being watched. As I approached my house I turned around and said to whomever was there,
"Stop watching me and just approach me already."
I stood there waiting and after a minute or so I headed inside and went up to my room. I almost screamed when I saw Alan creep out of my closet.
"Don't do that! You scared me!" I whispered hoping no one would hear.
"Sorry, I thought you would be used to that by now" he muttered.
"Well, what do you want?" I said impatiently.
"I need help. Obviously." he said with attitude. I gave him a look and he smiled slightly.
"Ok so, why were you killed?" I inquired.
"I was killed because I knew too much. They wanted it all for themselves. I said no, we need to share this with the world! They didn't think so One night, I just didn't wake up. Well, I woke up, but as a spirit. Do you know what it feels like to look down at your own body when it's pasty white and has stab marks in it?" he said. He was angry, very angry.
"Um, no. I do not know what that feels like. What was the thing you knew?" I asked.
"Well, I was in a gang, and, I saw one of my homies get murdered by someone who I thought was my homie. That isn't something good to do. He saw me standing there after he murdered my homie, he threatened me. He said that if I were to tell anyone about what I just saw, he would kill me. I agreed not to say anything and well, something like that, I couldn't hold in. I told the police and they said they would keep me safe. They tried but failed. I'm not sure how, but he found me And well, as you can see, they got me."
"Oh my word" I said in awe. "So, I just got myself into something gang related and I could get killed!"
"Sorry, if you don't want to do this, I understand"
I looked into his eyes and I couldn't say no to him.
"No, it's ok," I glanced at the clock and gasped. "I got to go now. Sorry."
I grabbed my coat, cell phone, and my bag, then crawled out my window. I found my footing on the ledge of a brick and looked down. It wasn't too high so I jumped. When I hit the ground, I looked around to see if anyone was there. I didn't see anyone so I sneaked over to the fence and hopped over. When I was walking to the park, I felt that same feeling from earlier and jogged to the park. I squinted to see and spotted Paul. He looked gorgeous in the moonlight. I ran up to him and said hi. He seemed surprised and said, "I want to talk to you about what happened today"
"Oh okay Where would you like to talk?"
        "Here is fine."
We sat down and he started talking and what he said surprised me beyond belief.
