Like A ChildA Poem by ArtisticVisions"I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. (Mt 18:3)"
I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. (Mt 18:3)
Wondering eyes look up at me Your favorite question was always "why". The innocent words you speak hit me like a hammer when had I lost all of this, unwavering faith You know nothing of death You live in a world carefully crafted by hands that protect you from the troubles your world is made of love your heart is trusting looking at you I long to once again be what I had lost As you lead me to the light that I can no longer see I wish I could once again be like a child. You may not be smarter, but you are wiser Your smile is full of joy you haven't felt the sharp knife that life can bring you have no worries you are free. As I look into your eyes I wish I knew how to be like a child you seem like you'll be forever free. Your round eyes see through the mist you know the path that will lead to where we all want to be And for you I hope you will never lose this impossible as it may seem stay like a child never lose this hope keep your eyes clear there is nothing that you need to fear Even as you learn of troubles don't let your shield crack there is a world made of love you will find the path that leads to where you want to be. Like a child we are forever free.
