Your move...A Poem by CharlotteAn interesting look on a chess game.Your move he yelled at me From across the scene he smirked with glee Think! Think! Think about this carefully I won’t move I thought You over there I called and sought Move! Move! I smiled with my newly found plot He hopped across at my will Two careful paces and then stood still Please! Please! And with a swift motion he let out a shrill A faint cackle sounded the board And with a swish the knight bared me his sword Fool! Fool! Order will be restored. With a scream from me one of mine moved quick A space with every timer tick Closer! Closer! And it was over with a kick Checkmate I screamed with expertise And my men celebrated the seize Victory! Victory! And the white pieces began to freeze However our set was ready for more Ready to take on the black and white floor Sleep! Sleep! Next time boys, it’s war. © 2010 CharlotteAuthor's Note
