A quickening of breath
A moment of sheer exhilaration
An outstretched hand reaching, grasping
Will you take it?

A silence dawns
The world relaxes
A moment of rest comes
Will you sleep?

A new day rises
Promising a fresh path
Life's River lays ahead
Will you swim it?

Caught mid torrent
Rapids raging, swirling
A raft comes
Do you shout to it?

A quickening of breath
A moment of sheer terror
And outstretched hand reaching, grasping
Will you take it?

Wow such a whirlwind of emotions pouring out here for someone who is possibly reaching out.. sometimes when people fall they are in sheer terror of taking another hand.. especially if they have been fed tough love all throughout their lives.. given that proverbial "kick in the butt" to get themselves up. Pride has no place when crisis comes.. tough love must be shoved aside and some sympathy shown to those who are in REAL NEED. Knowing how to reach some can be hard.. and sometimes you have to grab their hand when they are too weak to reach.. when you are close and love them.. I loved your message here.. it really stirred my soul. Keep up the great work!
