A love that would never die
We were said to have
Once upon a lifetime
The future we would share

A bride to be
And a groom in waiting
Your eyes shone bright
Melting my soul

But Death's cold kiss
Fell upon your lips
Before ours could meet
Taking you far beyond

I am left alone
Pondering the depths
Laying in the dark
Eyes wide open

Why, oh why my love
Have you abandoned me
I am dead
In the land of the living

I long to be with you
And so I die
Rushing behind you
I follow to that new land

If but for a fleeting moment
I can catch one last glimpse
Of those deep, beautiful eyes
Everything will be alright

Wait for me, my love
So that we can look
Upon each other one final time
And our lips may meet at last
