A Day's Journey

A Poem by West of Everyone

Oh great orb of light
I bend to thee
In thy unrelenting torment

I beg thou
To show thine face
Through the gloom

Arise through the darkness
To glorify
With celestial majesty

Once again thou dos't fall
And cast shadow upon the sea
Lending thy light to the lunar bride

And beautiful is she
That graces the night
Adorned as a jewel

She dances across the sky
To presage thy rise
Attended by a thousand hosts

The hosts frolic and play
With joyous delight
Praising thou and thy coming light
