To Hell and Back

To Hell and Back

A Poem by West of Everyone

Through fire that boiled up from the pits of hell
we fought
Hacking and slashing at our enemy
Beating him down

Out front I did stand
Hands tightening upon my axe with every swing
He had to die
And with all our might he was

The blood and ash stained our teeth
As we clawed our way up the hill
To give chase
To our defeated enemy

No mercy was given
Any sign of insurgence
Was squashed
With a swift and cold iron fist

Cold and defeated
Our enemy lay upon the ground
From the heights of Heaven to the pits of Hell
Its remnants were strewn

That was our glory
Our honour upheld
And with praise and adoration
We finished our hitch in Hell
